*AFRICAN INHERITANCE*

Ntinga Khozi Fine Art Centre & Gallery
would like to invite you to the 2nd Annual Usiba Lokhozi Art Experience & Exhibition. The event will take place on the 11th and 12th of June and in two different locations.

The 2022 event has some exciting programmes, we will demonstrate how we can use our culture, African creativity, languages and lifestyles to demolish poverty in our emerginalised communities through visual arts.
There is a huge need for African culture to be preserved, embraced & used as a tool to celebrate our communities.

Saturday the 11th June (Day 1) we will be hosting child friendly art experience from Cape Town artists with various Art mediums such as painting, ceramic, mixed media, print making and photography. We will also going be screening a documentary on African heritage. This experience will give you a chance to take part on the therapeutic art making while enjoying live performances and decilicious food.

Sunday 12th June (Day 2) we will be Exhibiting artworks from the artists who were running the experience. This is a great opportunity to see beautiful art works.

Do not miss out the live auction and raffle while you are not limited to buy and take home the art piece(s) that you like.

SATURDAY

Entry fee: R100

SUNDAY
Date: 12 June 2022, 1pm till 4pm
Venue 1: 21 Zakhele Street, Khayelitsha (A section)
Entry fee: Free

As kids manipulate a paintbrush, their fine motor skills improve. By counting pieces and colors, they learn the basics of math. When children experiment with materials, they dabble in science. Most important perhaps, when kids feel good while they are creating, art helps boost self-confidence. And children who feel able to experiment and to make mistakes feel free to invent new ways of thinking, which extends well beyond the art studio.
