Even during the battle agaist apartheid, it was not a clear cut; there were those who were indifferent, there were those who were sceptical and there were those who opposed. However, the majority of the people understood that we had a serious problem that we can no longer ignore as a people.
Today, people look at south africa from afar and see a beautiful country with a beautiful democracy and very easy laws, but they do not know what it takes to build and to maintain such standards of the country. Battles have to be fought every now and then with the government that gets too comfortable and become corrupt and start looting the future of the nation. Battles have to be fought every now and then amongst ourselves as a nation agaist those who may lose their patriotism and try to destroy the country from within. It takes constant vigilance and constant battles to keep south africa as beautiful and free as she is.
To migrants from african countries who are just looking to migrate from their countries into South Africa for opportunities, breaking the laws of South Africa is not a big deal. To them, Africa should be lawless for them to get what they want. However, to south Africans, a lawless country, is a dead country. Law and order is what keeps south Africa as beautiful and functional. If south africa loses law and order, soon, south Africans will become economic refugees in other countries like Zimbabweans, mozambicans, Nigerians and everyone else. Those countries did not begin where they are today, they once were functional countries with law and order. Somewhere in their 50/60 years of independence, they allowed their laws to be eroded and replaced with chaos and today, they cannot even live in the countries of their forefathers. What attracts them to south Africa today is how law and order is still intact and how everything and everyone still follow the law.
We have spoken extensively about the crimes and lawlessness brought intosouth africa through illegal migration: we have spoken about how illegal migrants from Nigeria have introduced our country to horrible crimes like dealing drugs, human trafficking, prostition and house highjackings. Mozambicans and Zimbabweans have brought illegal mining from their countries into South Africa, including more crimes like robbery, murder car highjackings for cross-border sales, elicit ci******es and other goods. Illigal Zimbabweans and mozambicans have also significantly contributed in eroding south Africa's labour laws by providing cheap labour in the country, which contribute to south Africans being overlooked for employment. We have seen how everyone from everywhere used the kindness of South Africa and south Africans to come and do all sorts of of crimes in the country.
With all of these undesirable crimes brought by illegal immigration in south africa, all south Africans would agree that we have an existential threat to the survival of the country and the nation of south africa. There is no doubt that, if this is allowed to persist and grow as it has been in the last 20 years, we will soon not have a country to call home, as all illegal migrants from Zimbabwean, mozambique and everyone else illegal in the country obviously don't. For a person to leave their country and enter a foreign country illegally without any means of survival, it is obvious that they do not consider their country as a liveable home anymore.
It is in this context that it doesn't make sense to see some south Africans who still don't understand what is happening rightnow and why we are all united in the cleanup of illegal migrants in south Africa. They don't understand that we are at that point again where we need to save south africa as a nation.
You can support Julius malema and his politics as much as our democracy allows, but you need to support your country first because that is your patriotic duty. Your country is all you have and you have to protect it with all that you are. The will and the well-being of the people of of South africa must take prioriry
