We are a research company that is upcoming and focuses on wildlife research and reserve management. With a team of staff who are well knowledgeable about the area and the species you could be working with, it is a guarantee that you will have a learning experience of a life time! Research techniques will be taught, and used during your time with us. The data you help collect will be used to monito
r species, from both the plant and animal world! In doing so, you will encounter species that you may not have seen in the wild before. You will contribute to conservation and have the trip of a lifetime! You will get the bush-life experience and will get a chance to learn about South African culture. Our experience and expertise encompasses safari-guiding, game-farm management, security & anti-poaching, university lecturing in the biological sciences, and academic research. If you are keen to learn more about, and participate in, conservation research and management in South Africa then talk to us about your needs. Our programmes are by no means limited to those studying the sciences, and we believe that a wide range of backgrounds can engage with conservation learning experiences and contribute meaningful research and management data. We believe our programmes are idea not only for students seeking to further their knowledge and experience of their subject but also those who aspire to become involved with game-farm management, and those who wish to experience more of what the bush has to offer other than a tourist safari. Conservation science can only be driven through data and evidence and YOU could be a part of it! Our research is undertaken on a site of 26,000 ha near Bray in South Africa’s North-West Province close to the Botswanan border. Species present include Cape Buffalo, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, and a range of large plains game such as Eland, Gemsbok, Waterbuck, and Kudu, along with a growing list of smaller mammals and a wide range of bird-life. Our project accommodates 8 volunteers at a time in 4 separate chalets (2 beds and a bathroom each). We have a central separate kitchen where meals are prepared together, a games room (darts etc) with wifi (though we prefer our volunteers to spend as much of their time as they can experiencing the wonders of the bush), and a swimming pool perfect for after a hot summer day in the bush. Our favourite place is the Braai area where we make a fire in the evenings and tell safari stories.
