Groen Kathu het julle hulp nodig 🌿

Ons droom is om Kathu mooier, skoner en beter te maak vir almal — maar ons kan dit nie alleen doen nie.

Daarom roep ons uit na besighede, of enige persoon wat graag ’n verskil wil maak in ons dorp.

Elke bydrae, groot of klein, help ons om die besigheidsareas en openbare ruimtes netjies, mooi en uitnodigend te hou. Ons projekte groei elke dag, maar ons het steeds ondersteuning nodig om vir ’n lang tyd aan te hou verbeter en skoonmaak.

Elke borg sal nodige blootstelling ontvang op ons sosiale media platforms.

📍 Kameeldoring Business Park Area Update

What a busy and productive 2 days! 🙌
From offloading white rocks, starting the cleanup of another area, and loading all rubble and litter onto trucks — the Kameeldoring Business Park area is really starting to look great!

Today’s focus [ 28 May 2026] is cleaning up the remaining sand and small rocks laying around the area.

Update on Alwyn Plaat 1 & 2 🌿

🔹 Alwyn Plaat 1
• White rocks have been packed
• Aloes have been planted
• Area has been cleaned and swept
• Still to be completed: the paving crossing

🔹 Alwyn Plaat 2
• White rocks have also been packed
• Area has been cleaned around Alwyn Plaat 2
• We are in need of a bit more white rocks to finish the last section
• We will continue finishing planting the Aloe's in September

We are looking for assistance with:

📍 Kameeldoring Business Park Area Update

A big thank you to Efficient Truck Repairs for the generous load of white rocks loaded and delivered!

Tomorrow we continue with another big cleanup initiative.

Day 3 at Kameeldoring Business Park and so much has already been accomplished! From collecting papers and clearing out all the weeds, to fixing and planting poles for the new solar lights — the progress has been incredible.

It’s inspiring to see businesses coming together and making a real difference in the area. These are just a few of the photos, with a full video coming on Friday!

Groen Kathu helped students volunteer for a non-profit organisation where they contributed 6 hours of their time to give back to the community.

The students cleaned in front area of NCR TVET College main gate. Lifting rocks and laying plastic underneath, their dedication and teamwork made a real difference.

A special thank you to Plato Coffee for the lovely coffee and Engen for the great lunch and support throughout the day.

Together, we are making Kathu great! 🌱
