Qalakabusha Home Base Care, in collaboration with Seriti Institute, BreatheA.I.R Foundation Johannesburg, and A.I.R Foundation, invites learners and community members to join our Youth Environmental Awareness Campaign as we promote cleaner air and healthier communities.

Environmental awareness starts with us. Not somewhere else, not with someone else — with us as residents.

We all share this space, and we all have a responsibility, not just for the environment, but for each other. It’s about teaching one another, guiding one another, and setting an example — so that we can build a community that actually thrives together.

It’s the small things… showing the next person not to dump, encouraging cleaner habits, and standing together to protect our surroundings.

We’re calling on everyone in Ward 82 and Ward 69 to be part of this movement. Let’s grow the awareness, support each other, and take pride in our Kasi.

♻️ Real impact starts with action… and that’s exactly what we experienced.

The A.I.R Foundation, together with our partners Bosmont Community Green Project , University of Johannesburg and Pick Squad League , spent time at Purpose Recycling in Eldorado Park — and it was powerful to see the work being done on the ground. 💚

From waste sorting to job creation and community education, this is what real, practical solutions look like. It’s easy to talk about the challenges in Joburg, but this was a reminder that there are people out there doing something about it.

A big thank you to Shannon, Audrey, and the entire Purpose Recycling team for hosting us and sharing your journey with us 🙏🏽

Special appreciation to Community Green Projects for always bringing people together and creating spaces for collaboration — it really makes a difference.
