πŸ’š Happy Youth Day 🦏

Today we celebrate our youth β€” their courage, their potential, their resilience and their future.

The Isipho Initiative was created with our youth in mind: young transplant recipients who have already walked a brave and difficult road, and who deserve to feel seen, supported and included as part of the transplant community.

Through the initiative, crocheted Isipho mascots will be gifted to children who have undergone life-saving organ transplants as a symbol of hope, courage and belonging.

This Saturday, we walk for them.

Join us at The Isipho Walk as we celebrate young lives, raise awareness around organ donation and support paediatric transplant recipients.

Join GTSA for a fun, family-friendly morning at the Johannesburg Zoo as we celebrate the gift of life and support paediatric transplant recipients.

While undergoing a transplant is a major, life-changing journey for anyone, it is even more so for children. For these little people, transplantation is not only a major medical event, but the beginning of a lifelong journey of recovery, resilience and adjustment.

Through the Isipho Initiative, crocheted Isipho mascots are gifted to children who have undergone life-saving organ transplants, providing them with a tangible symbol of hope, strength and belonging.

Isipho is the official mascot of SATSA, and this initiative aims to help children and their families feel connected to a broader transplant community while also raising awareness around organ donation.

Funds raised through the walk will support the production and donation of these mascots, helping us reach even more children and their families.
