A special thank you to the volunteer marshals from Rare Diseases SA, ODF who manned the waterpoint stand stand and to 32Gi who kept our participants well hydrated and provided lucky draw prizes and to Swotch Energy for the Goodie bags and to everyone who braved weather to join us. ๐Ÿ’š Happy Youth Day ๐Ÿฆ

Today we celebrate our youth โ€” their courage, their potential, their resilience and their future.

The Isipho Initiative was created with our youth in mind: young transplant recipients who have already walked a brave and difficult road, and who deserve to feel seen, supported and included as part of the transplant community.

Through the initiative, crocheted Isipho mascots will be gifted to children who have undergone life-saving organ transplants as a symbol of hope, courage and belonging.

This Saturday, we walk for them.

Join us at The Isipho Walk as we celebrate young lives, raise awareness around organ donation and support paediatric transplant recipients.

Meet Isipho ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ’š

Today Isipho visited the Johannesburg Zoo for a walk-through ahead of The Isipho Walk on Saturday, 20 June 2026.

Isipho is the official mascot of the South African Transplant Sports Association and the heart behind the Isipho Initiative. Through this project, crocheted Isipho mascots will be gifted to children who have undergone life-saving organ transplants, offering them a symbol of hope, courage and belonging during their transplant journey.

Join us at The Isipho Walk as we celebrate the gift of life, raise awareness around organ donation and support paediatric transplant recipients.

All proceeds from the walk will go towards the Isipho Initiative.

A limited number of Isipho mascots will also be available on the day, with proceeds supporting the initiative.

Book your tickets via Webtickets.
