Pan African Justice Initiative (PAJI) trains criminal practitioners across Africa to improve their ability to address cross-border crime – including gender-based violence. We work with criminal justice institutions as well as the private sector and civil society.

Cybercrime legislation is only one part of the solution.

Madagascar's proposed reforms demonstrate why legal frameworks must evolve to respond to increasingly complex cyber-enabled crime.

Madagascar has approved a bill to modernise its cybercrime framework, recognising the need for legislation that keeps pace with evolving digital threats and emerging technologies.

As cyber-enabled crime becomes increasingly sophisticated and transnational, strengthening legal frameworks and enhancing the capacity of criminal justice institutions remain essential to effective prevention, investigation, and prosecution.
