South Africa's Incoming President Comrade Julius S Malema shines on freedom day as more than 150000 people attend his Freedom Day Celebration hosted by his Party The EFF,Malema a strong crowd puller emerges from strong vicious challenges as he delivered a powerful speech resonating with South Africa's Youth,a robust young vibrant Malema who rose from nothing has stood the test of time.
According to Times survey Malema is the most hated politician by South Africa's white community.
Malema's stands with his atrack of the historical freedom charter which has failed to deliver black South Africans from Poverty.
Malema reiterated that South Africa's Economy is in the hands of the few which rich elites.
The Afri Forum which protects Apartheid interests of white community has marked Malema as its number one enemy outside the radical oldest pan Africanist movement the ANC.
Political literacy remains a big challenge for the many South Africans who have been redirected to attack poor African migrants who are less influential when it comes to the economic benefits of South Africa.

Zimbabwe's impact on South Africa's economy is so wild that, if it went away today, it'd cause unemployment in South Africa to rise by a full 4%.

This is out of a study we've just concluded for a multinational that's looking to "diversify risk" out of SA.

Last year Zimbabwe sent US$4 billion to South Africa for official imports.

That's roughly equivalent to A THIRD of South Africa's total exports to her largest trading partner (China: ~US$12 billion. Not bad for a country (Zim) of only 16 million people,

It's also roughly 1% of South Africa's entire GDP for 2025 that was exported to Zim, officially.

The actual total Zim spent on imports from SA is about US$7 billion, since smuggled goods from South Africa are conservatively calculated to be about Âľ of official imports in value.

During the same period, South Africa imported only ~US$400 million in Zim goods.

Already, some South Africa companies are being impacted so heavily they're begging Cyril Ramaphosa's ANC to batten down the hatches & impose illegal protectionist measures on Zim👇

Dinson Steel in Zim has led to the shutdown of ArcelorMittal SA. Sunny Yi Feng's tiles out of Zimbabwe have seen Italtile crying foul after their turnover was impacted heavily.

If Zim's useless Ministry of IC were to take the China/Singapore approach to Industry/Commerce that I've been advocating for years now, it'd be catastrophic for SA.

LESOTHO AMONG TOP ECONOMIES IN AFRICA 2026

Top 10 most prosperous African countries in 2026, according to the latest ranking.
Prosperity is about more than just money. While economic growth often grabs headlines, a country's prosperity is increasingly measured by how well its people live, learn, stay healthy, and share in the benefits of development.
According to the Atlantic Council’s 2026 Prosperity Index, Africa’s most prosperous nations are those that have managed to combine economic opportunity with strong social outcomes, environmental sustainability, and greater inclusion.

The index measures both individual well-being—through indicators such as income, education, and health—and shared prosperity, including environmental quality, income equality, and the well-being of minority groups. Countries are ranked based on the equally weighted average of six indicators and grouped into categories ranging from "High Prosperity" to "Lowest Prosperity."

The rankings highlight an important reality: the world's richest countries are not always the most prosperous.
Globally, Europe dominates the rankings, accounting for 30 of the top 40 countries, with Norway, Iceland, Denmark, and Sweden all placing in the global top five.

In Africa, however, a mix of island economies, resource-rich nations, and countries with relatively strong institutions has emerged as the continent's prosperity leaders. Here are the 10 most prosperous African countries in 2026:

1) Seychelles (Rank 39, Score: 77.4)
Seychelles ranks as Africa’s most prosperous country and 39th globally in the 2026 Prosperity Index. The island nation combines relatively high incomes with strong healthcare, education, and environmental performance. Its tourism-driven economy has helped sustain living standards. Seychelles also benefits from political stability and a strong focus on environmental conservation, factors that enhance both individual and shared prosperity.

2) Cape Verde (Rank 42, Score: 76.1)

Cape Verde
Cape Verde ranks second in Africa and 42nd globally, reflecting steady progress in economic development and human capital. Despite limited natural resources, the country has built a resilient economy based on tourism, services, and remittances. Investments in education, healthcare, and democratic governance have improved the quality of life.

3) Mauritius (Rank 45, Score: 74.6)
Mauritius remains one of Africa’s strongest economic success stories, ranking 45th globally. The country has transformed itself from a sugar-based economy into a diversified hub for finance, tourism, manufacturing, and technology. Strong institutions, quality healthcare, and high educational attainment contribute to its prosperity.

4) Ghana (Rank 46, Score: 73.2)

Ghana ranks 46th globally and stands out as one of West Africa’s most prosperous countries. Economic growth driven by commodities, services, and technology has improved living standards over the years. While challenges remain around inequality and infrastructure, investments in education and healthcare have helped strengthen Ghana’s overall prosperity profile.

5) South Africa (Rank 50, Score: 72.6)
South Africa ranks 50th globally, supported by its position as Africa’s most industrialised economy and home to the continent’s largest concentration of wealth. The country performs relatively well in education, financial services, and infrastructure. However, high unemployment, inequality, and social challenges continue to weigh on overall prosperity.

6) Botswana (Rank 55, Score: 72.0)
Botswana’s ranking reflects decades of prudent economic management and political stability. Diamond revenues have been used to fund investments in healthcare, education, and infrastructure, contributing to one of Africa’s highest per-capita income levels. While economic diversification remains a challenge, Botswana continues to be recognised as one of the continent’s best-governed and most prosperous nations.

7) Namibia (Rank 58, Score: 71.4)
Namibia ranks among Africa’s top-performing countries. The economy benefits from mining, agriculture, and tourism, while investments in education and public services have improved human development outcomes. Although inequality remains a significant concern, Namibia’s commitment to conservation and sustainable resource management contributes positively to its prosperity score.

8) Senegal (Rank 63, Score: 69.5)
Senegal’s position reflects growing economic dynamism and improving social outcomes. Major investments in infrastructure, energy, and digital technology have helped boost growth and attract investment. The country also benefits from political stability and expanding access to education and healthcare. Recent developments in the oil and gas sector could further strengthen economic prospects, although ensuring that growth is broadly shared remains an important challenge.

9) Lesotho (Rank 72, Score: 67.5)
Lesotho’s prosperity ranking is supported by progress in healthcare, education, and social development despite significant economic constraints. The country’s economy is closely linked to neighbouring South Africa through trade and labour markets.

10) The Gambia (Rank 74, Score: 67.2)
The Gambia rounds out Africa’s top 10 most prosperous countries in the index. The country has made notable gains in governance, social inclusion, and democratic reforms in recent years. Tourism, agriculture, and remittances remain important economic drivers.
