✨ Celebrating 30 Years of Impact! ✨

On 27 June 2026, we had the privilege of celebrating the AEC's incredible milestone of 30 years of transforming lives.

The evening brought together AEC alumni from the Class of 1999 through to the Class of 2025, alongside our valued partners and supporters from the Cyril Ramaphosa Education Trust (CRET), Moshal Program – South Africa, and Ignition. It was a memorable night filled with meaningful conversations, reconnecting with old friends, building new connections, and reflecting on three decades of creating opportunities for young people in and around Alexandra.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us to celebrate this special occasion and to those who continue to support the AEC in so many ways. Your encouragement and commitment make our work possible.

Here's to celebrating our journey, honouring our community, and creating even greater impact in the years ahead.

Exactly one week ago, some of our amazing alumni laced up their running shoes and took on the Run Alex 10km race! 🎉

With participants in both the 5km and 10km events, it was a fantastic day filled with energy, pride, and community spirit. To us, every single one of them is a winner! 🏅

This is just one of the many ways we’re working to grow the AEC community, connect with potential sponsors, and find our alumni family as we build up to our 30th celebration. It’s been great to see so much interest from people wanting to learn more about who we are and what we do.

On 31 January 2026, AEC Alumni gathered at the AEC for the 2026 Annual General Meeting. It was a great opportunity for alumni to reconnect, network, and hear more about the exciting plans the AEC Alumni Sub-committee has lined up for the 2026 calendar year.

We were also honoured to host incredible guest speakers who shared valuable insights on career development. The session was engaging and informative, especially for alumni preparing to enter the job market in the near future.

Thank you to everyone who attended the AGM, both in person and online via Microsoft Teams, and helped make the event a success.

A special shout-out to our guest speakers — Bethuel Lebeya, Neema Umutoniwase, and Kamogelo Sedibe — for generously sharing their knowledge and experiences with our alumni.
