TODAY 2.0

TODAY, I choose to live in the moment. I do not have regrets about yesterday or obsess about tomorrow. I set realistic and achievable goals.

TODAY, I choose to only give realness to high energy thoughts. I correct those things within myself that I can correct and accept those things that I can not.

TODAY, I choose to see life as it is. I face my reality. I find solutions to every obstacle that I encounter. I manifest light and radiate love.

TODAY, I choose to improve my mind. I enjoy reading things that requires effort, thought and concentration. I practically apply my knowledge.

TODAY, I make a conscious effort to improve my appearance, speak with clarity and listen with sincerity. The only person I can improve is my self.

TODAY, I choose to implement positive ways to improve my health. I eat healthy and make wise food choices. I enjoy stretching and daily exercise.

TODAY, I choose to do what is right and take responsibility and accountability for my actions. I choose to be kind and courteous to everyone.

TODAY, I choose daily to have an amazing human experience filled with love and gratitude. I speak truth and share seeds of wisdom.

Why do Freemasons take oaths?

New members make solemn promises concerning their conduct in Lodge and in society. Each member also promises to keep confidential the traditional methods of proving that he is a Freemason which he would use when visiting a lodge where he is not known. Freemasons do not swear allegiances to each other or to Freemasonry. Freemasons promise to support others in times of need, but only if that support does not conflict with their duties to God, the law, or with their family responsibilities as a Citizen.

Why do your ‘obligations’ contain hideous penalties?

They no longer do. When Masonic ritual was developing in the late 1600’s and 1700’s it was common for legal and civil oaths to include physical penalties and Freemasonry simply followed the practise of the times. In Freemasonry, however, the physical penalties were always symbolic and were never carried out. After long discussion, they were removed fro mthe promises in 1986.
