Today I spent some time with Uncle Lawrence again, and he shared something very personal. He said he had been talking to his underworld gang — the Badimo/Madlozi, known in English as ancestors.

These voices and beliefs are part of his world, guiding him and keeping him company where he chooses to stay. I listened quietly, with respect. Sometimes people carry stories and experiences we may never fully understand — but what they need most is patience, compassion, and someone who won’t judge them.

Every moment with him reminds me how important it is to show kindness to those who feel unseen. ❤️✨

Today I tried again to convince Uncle Lawrence to go back to his family… but he chose to stay in the bushes. It’s hard to watch someone you care about push away the people who love them, but all I can do is be there and hope he finds his way back one day. ❤️
