Ikusasa Lethu Youth Project was in Eldorado Park Extension 6 for the African Tribe International Sports Tournament. ⚽❤️

Bringing together teams from South Africa, Kenya, Malawi, and Ethiopia, the tournament uses sport to unite cultures and keep young people off the streets.

Gauteng MEC Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko joined our outreach at Highpoint in Hillbrow, where many homeless people seek shelter. During her visit, she acknowledged the impact of Ikusasa Lethu Youth Project’s Mobile Shower Programme, which restores dignity by giving vulnerable people access to basic hygiene.

Our outreach goes beyond providing showers. We also offer meals, clean clothing, and support services that help restore hope and connect people with opportunities to rebuild their lives.

Because everyone deserves dignity.

Meet Edward Shaw. ❤️

Edward, originally from Russia 🇷🇺, has lived in South Africa for over 30 years. After losing his job, he unfortunately ended up homeless.

For the past 5 months, he has been staying at Ikusasa Lethu Youth Project – Florida Centre, where he receives support, structure, and care.

He is grateful to the social workers and programmes helping him rebuild his life, and he hopes to find a job after completing the programme so he can support himself and his children and continue living a stable, responsible life.

Meet Sicelo from Eyethu Cleaning Products. ❤️

Sicelo was part of the Jozi Jeepers team that visited our Florida Centre Homeless Shelter to empower residents with practical skills.

He taught step-by-step how to make products like roll-on, body lotion, and shower gel giving people real, usable skills they can take with them beyond the shelter.

The goal is simple: equip individuals with affordable, income-generating skills so they can rebuild their lives and avoid returning to the streets.

We appreciate this powerful contribution toward restoring dignity and creating opportunity. 🙏
