The Professional Educators’ Union is proud to officially announce its participation in the ANTUSA Games 2026 in Zambia.

Following the selection of our teams during the PEU Annual Extravaganza, our athletes are ready to represent the Union with pride, discipline and unity across the following sporting codes:

URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT: PEU JOINS ORGANISED LABOUR AGAINST GEMS INCREASES

The Professional Educators' Union (PEU) officially rejects the proposed GEMS contribution increases of:

❌ 9.8% (January 2026)
❌ 9.5% (April 2026)

This follows a 13.4% increase in 2025 – far exceeding salary adjustments of just 5.5% and 4%!

Public servants cannot be expected to choose between healthcare and putting food on the table. 🏥 vs 🍲

OUR DEMANDS:
✅ Immediate withdrawal of increases
✅ Forensic audit into GEMS governance
✅ Transparency and meaningful consultation
✅ Affordable healthcare for all public servants
