AYDF African Youth development Fund is a training and development service provider. https://linktr.ee/aydf_sa AYDF's focus extends across the African continent.

The vision of AYDF is to see an Africa where all her youth are dynamic, transformative leaders, and value-adding citizens. We aim to contribute to a future where the youth play a crucial role in the positive development of the continent. Our mission is to develop and implement large-scale, evidence-based behavioural change programs. Additionally, we aim to capacitate other organisations to do the

same, fostering positive change and empowerment across the African youth population. We empower young people through the development and implementation of evidence-based behaviour change programs. We also work to build capacity in other organisations, ensuring a widespread impact on the empowerment of the youth. While our initiatives may vary based on regional needs, our commitment is to empower young people throughout Africa, regardless of specific geographical boundaries.

SANCA Central Alexandra in conjunction with AYDF visited Iphutheng Primary School as part of the campaign, creating an engaging and impactful day focused on substance abuse awareness, healthy choices, and protecting the future of our young people.

Through educational discussions, stakeholder engagement, performances, fun activities, and interactive sessions, learners were encouraged to choose purpose, discipline, and self-worth over substances and negative peer pressure.

Thank you to the educators, stakeholders, learners, and everyone who contributed towards making the day meaningful and impactful. Together, we continue building safer, stronger, and substance-free communities for the next generation. ✨

[🚚 DETOUR TO IPHUTHENG: SANCA Alex Is Live On The Streets! 🚚]

Tomorrow, the SANCA Alex team is taking over the streets and rolling straight into Iphutheng Primary School with our high-energy GIG TRUCK for National Child Protection Week! πŸŽšοΈπŸ”Š Partnering alongside the African Youth Development Fund AYDF, we are turning up the volume for child safety and youth wellness.

Our theme is: "Clear Heads, Safe Steps."

With the gig truck bringing the beats, the energy, and the microphone, our main mission tomorrow is hitting one of the biggest crises facing our youth head-on: UNDERAGE DRINKING. πŸ›‘πŸΊ

Protecting Our Children Means
1. Keeping alcohol out of the hands of minors,
2. Dismantling peer pressure, and
3. Ensuring our school-going youth understand that it is "Cool to be Clean."

Here is what the Alex community can look forward to tomorrow:

🎀 Live Performances
πŸ’¬ Dialogue – Giving local youth the platform to speak out.
πŸ† Fun, Games & Giveaways – Learning life skills through active play.

Alex, it takes a village to shield our children from the scourge of alcohol and drug abuse.

As we prepare to implement the Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) programme, we began by equipping our implementing social workers through a comprehensive training. The training focused on programme content, facilitation and presentation skills, teach-back sessions, and constructive feedback in a safe learning space. Our social workers are now ready for the field, and implementation will roll out in the Central and Western Corridors. We are confident that the corridors are ready because the social workers are ready.

A mother is more than a title , She is strength in motion, love in action, and grace under pressure. πŸ’

Not only does a mother hold it down at work, but she continues to show up at home, in church, and within society at large. She carries responsibilities with practicality, wisdom, and unwavering care, often putting the needs of others before her own. Through every sacrifice, every prayer, every long day and sleepless night, she remains a pillar of support and a source of hope.

Today, AYDF celebrates the incredible women who nurture, lead, uplift, and inspire generations every single day. Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers , Your impact never goes unnoticed. ❀️

The African Youth Development Fund (AYDF) is proud to have had our Director, Nhlanhla Zwane, as a guest speaker at the Hlanganisa Grassroots Wednesday Webinar β€” a dynamic platform dedicated to strengthening the capacity and sustainability of NPOs.
The webinar brought together NPOs from across South Africa and beyond our borders, including participants from Zambia and Zimbabwe, fostering a rich exchange of knowledge and experiences.
Under the thought-provoking theme β€œWhat does Freedom truly mean in our communities today?”, Mr. Zwane delivered an impactful session highlighting the importance of Civic Education as a catalyst for active citizenship, social responsibility, and community transformation.
Through AYDF’s Civic Education product, UMGABULO THE DEMOKHRASI, the session emphasized that true freedom goes beyond rights β€” it requires informed, engaged, and empowered communities who actively participate in shaping their future.
