I hate to break it to you but a meal plan is only a tool, it’s not the solution. And it’s certainly not the reason I do what I do.
At 16, I saw a dietitian calculate tube feeding for an 8 year old that was airlifted to a trauma hospital after being mauled by a lion, and watching how nutrition made a difference to a burns patient’s survival. By 3rd year I’d thought I’d end up in hospitals, but final year changed it for me.
It seems obvious that someone that loves sport would choose Sports Nutrition as a specialization but it was through life’s twists that I noticed a gap, started creating opportunities, and doing my part to see people thriving.
You would assume elite athletes have nutrition sorted. The reality is, it’s often overlooked or not applied in a way that actually supports performance. And that’s where the work really is.
I don’t just educate, I using various tools to equip you beyond a meal plan. There’s barriers we work through, behaviours we change, impacts we make. It’s never just about the number on the scale, it’s more than that.
This week (dietitians week) is a reminder that nutrition matters more than you realize, even for those who pitch up on race day/game day/tournaments/event day.
