An illustration of a stakeholder engagement exchange would be:

On a post about World TB & HIV Awareness, a stakeholder asked: "Does AFSA provide free HIV testing all year long or just on World TB Day?"

Response from AFSA: "We appreciate your inquiry and interest in our offerings! AFSA provides free HIV testing all year long, not just on World TB Day, in partnership with outreach partners and local clinics. Our website has the schedule of our regular testing events, and you can reach us by calling our helpline at 0800-###-###. Every exam is free of cost and confidential. We invite you to attend any of our community screening events!

Overall, the feedback from stakeholders about the World TB Day Community Awareness Campaign was overwhelmingly positive. Participants appreciated the opportunity to receive free TB and HIV screening services, with many noting that they would not have otherwise accessed these services so conveniently.

Community members expressed gratitude for the educational talks, which were presented in both isiZulu and English, ensuring inclusivity. Local leaders praised AFSA’s collaborative approach in involving traditional healers, youth groups, and faith-based organisations.

Healthcare workers reported that the event helped strengthen trust between the community and local clinics, with many attendees committing to follow-up check-ups. Youth participants enjoyed the interactive sessions and pledged to share the information with peers.

In summary, stakeholders felt the event was impactful, well-organised, and aligned with AFSA’s mission to reduce the spread and impact of TB in South Africa.
