Today, our garden was buzzing with excitement as we welcomed kids to learn about growing tomatoes. We're proud to provide a hands-on learning experience, teaching kids about sustainability, nutrition, and the importance of community gardens.
We showed kids how to plant and care for tomatoes.
Gardening can have a positive impact on kids' physical and mental well-being, teaching them valuable skills and promoting environmental awareness.

Food forests like this one Anchor of the Weak NPO is initiating have been successful in other parts of South Africa. For instance, the Phawu Likum AgriPak cooperative in the Eastern Cape has established a thriving food forest, providing fresh produce to the local community while promoting sustainable agriculture practices.

Food forests are designed to mimic natural ecosystems, with a diverse range of plants and trees working together to create a balanced and resilient environment. This approach has been shown to improve soil health, conserve water, and support biodiversity. Tshisulu Riverside next to Tshilidzini Hospital.
