OLICO Maths Education Non-profit on a mission to make maths makes sense. We support learners, teachers, government & NGOs in low-income communities through quality maths and edtech.

Every year thousands of township school leavers are excluded from the job market, simply because they don’t have maths. As an educational tool, maths teaches us a lot more than how to deal with numbers - we learn other important life skills like perseverance, logic, problem solving and so much more. South Africa’s children are our biggest asset and that’s why OLICO is focused on maths education, because children + maths = kids that can do life after school. Join our mission! We are hiring. We're growing our early-grades maths work and looking for an experienced materials developer with a proven track record. You will develop learner and teacher materials for Grades 1-4 maths which includes print materials, structured teacher support content for short formats like WhatsApp, fluency activities & assessment items. The materials will be used by more than 2000 teachers in real DBE classrooms. If this feels like a job for you, please go to olico.org/vacancies for more info.

Are you OLICO's new 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 (𝐂𝐎𝐎)?

OLICO is increasingly moving beyond direct programme delivery into systems-level engagement and working with government, researchers, and NGO-partners to influence maths teaching and learning at scale.

As a result, a new COO role now exists to build the capacity for us to move into this next phase with confidence and clarity. The focus of the role is people, programmes, and organisational systems to ensure that OLICO is equipped to carry both high-quality delivery and increasing systems-level complexity.

We’re looking for someone who:

✅ is deeply people-centred
✅ understands how organisations actually work (or don't) at scale
✅ cares about programme quality and evidence, not just growth
✅ is motivated by long-term impact in education

📄 Full role details here: https://olico.org/vacancies/
📩 Please share with people you trust who might be right for this kind of work.
