Today we turn our focus to the agricultural team of the North West. The team that is blessed with leadership in abundance. The team comes from an unfamiliar small town of the North West called Leeudoringstad, just 30km outside Wolmaansstad.
The Deputy President of the South African Deaf Sports Federation (SADSF) is the founder and coach of the team. He started the team in 2011 for the same reason of advancing Deaf Football in the community. Itumeleng himself was a quality player himself in the Deaf community of Football, representing the country on numerous occasions. The team is captained by Mohau Dikole. This team boast a couple of National Team players current and former. They have one Johannes Motloutsi, who hails from Tokoza. Motloutsi used to play for Tokoza United Brothers (TUBS) as a striker. He was lethal during upfront for that team and it was there where he got the top goal scorer of the season award. Gungu Molefe is also a former national team player, where he faced Egypt in Gauteng, and he is part of Maize Deaf FC.
Maize will be representing the North West province in the upcoming National Deaf Football Competition to be held in Gauteng.
