A serious diagnosis can bring so many unexpected questions and not all of them are about treatment. Some of the hardest conversations are the practical ones.

Join us for a thoughtful conversation about planning ahead, understanding important decisions, and putting practical plans in place that can bring peace of mind for you and the people you love.

Together, we will explore:

*Wills and estate planning
*Living wills and advance care planning
*Practical legal considerations
*Patient-centred decision-making and quality of life conversations
*Navigating important decisions with clarity and support.

Whether you are navigating a diagnosis yourself, supporting someone you love, or simply wanting to better understand these important topics, you are warmly welcome.

Speakers:

*Prof Carol-Ann Benn – Breast Surgeon and Breast Cancer Specialist

*Dr Margie Venter – Oncologist and Palliative Care Specialist

*John Comninos – Director and Managing Partner, Comninos Incorporated

*Evy Michalopoulos – COO, Comninos Incorporated | Co-Founder, Superlawyers

CANSA is proud to welcome Dermaclinical.net as our newest Cause Related Marketing Partner! ☀️

From 25 to 31 May 2026, Dermaclinical is encouraging South Africans to wear their SPF with purpose — because protecting your skin can also help support those affected by cancer.

During this campaign period, 10% of all Dermaclinical SPF sales will be donated to CANSA in support of our cancer research, education, awareness, care and support programmes.

By choosing sun protection, you’re not only taking an important step towards reducing your cancer risk — you’re also helping CANSA continue making a difference in communities across South Africa.

Protect your skin. Support a cause. Make every application count. 🌞

🧠 Brain Cancer Awareness
Sometimes the most powerful battles are the ones we can’t see. Brain cancer often hides behind everyday symptoms, making it easy to overlook. That’s why awareness matters because recognizing the warning signs early can change everything.

🚨 Symptoms to Watch For
Persistent headaches, especially worse in the morning or when coughing/straining.

Nausea or vomiting without clear cause.

Sudden seizures in someone with no history of epilepsy.

Weakness or numbness on one side of the body.

Trouble speaking or changes in speech.

Loss of balance or coordination.

Vision changes such as blurriness or double vision.

Noticeable memory lapses or personality changes.

Hearing loss or ringing in one ear.

These symptoms can be caused by other conditions too, but when they appear suddenly or worsen over time, they should never be ignored.

🩺 How Diagnosis Happens
Doctors use advanced imaging like MRI or CT scans to look inside the brain. Sometimes, a biopsy is needed to confirm the type of tumor. Early diagnosis means more treatment options and better outcomes.

PROUD TO ANNOUNCE A MEANINGFUL COLLABORATION WITH SUPERLAWYERS

At SUPERLAWYERS, we believe that true success is measured not only by business growth but by the positive impact we make in the lives of others.

We are proud to announce our collaboration with the MACHI FILOTIMO CANCER PROJECT in support of cancer awareness, compassion, community upliftment, and hope for those affected by cancer.

This collaboration represents more than a partnership. It represents purpose, humanity and the belief that together we can make a meaningful difference.

MYTH OR FACT?
“If I have no family history of breast cancer, I cannot get it.”

The truth? Many women diagnosed with breast cancer have no family history at all.

That is why knowing your personal risk matters.

Last year, 9,285 South Africans took our Breast Health Awareness Assessment, learning more about breast health, breast self-examination, and the importance of early detection.

Now, with Phylaxis.ai, we are taking the next step.

Introducing the Breast Cancer Risk Assessment — a free, easy-to-use tool that helps you better understand your personal risk based on factors like family history, hormonal influences, lifestyle, and screening history.

In just a few minutes, you will receive a personalised report you can use to guide important conversations with your healthcare provider.

Because in South Africa, too many women are still diagnosed when breast cancer is already at a late stage. Knowledge gives you the power to act earlier.

Plus, you could stand a chance to win your share of R20 000 — not once, but twice!

Take your assessment today: https://bit.ly/BHFBCRA

Cancer does not care. So we have to.
