Yesterday the school honoured the legacy of Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu by laying wreaths afoot the bridge named in his honour.

Student representatives from Roedean School and St John's College were joined by Ms. Nomsa Daniels‚ the Archbishop's niece and member of our board. May we all strive to lead a life of significance as reflected in 'The Arch's' life.

Farewell letter from the Founders

For those not in the know, we as SAORA embarked on a project way back in 2013 to digitise the archives. We continue to work on this to this day. The idea was to make the archive material accessible and to preserve digital content that is being captured on digital recording devices, such as digital cameras. We have digitised a number of the school magazines as well as some historic photographs and some legacy marketing brochures. Over time we would like to digitise the entire set of magazines as well as school histories, newspaper clippings, photographs, videos and so on. These, together with born-digital content, will be placed in this archival digital repository for both long-term preservation and for ready access by the school community.
