Diepkloof | following the untimely death of a 5 year old due to alleged food poisoning, the angry residents of Diepkloof took to the streets recently to evacuate all foreign-owned spaza shops in the their township. All of this is happening while the 21 days period for small shop owners to register is ongoing.

Landlords, please be warned not to sign any form or letter handed out to you by a foreign spaza shop owner as this could possibly be a binding agreement between you and the shop owner.

The letter in the picture below was allegedly strategically typed and constructed by foreign spaza shop owners during their meetings in Vereeniging, Vaal.

This is seen as a strategic attempt by foreign spaza shop owners to retain and continue to operate shops in the townships.

Vaal| Sebokeng Zone 3|

The community of Sebokeng Zone 3 issued a letter to call upon all landlords to a community meeting to address the issues and fate of foreign-owned spaza shops in their township. They say they have seen enough sad news and that they can't wait until a tragedy befalls upon one of their community member child or children. They say foreign-owned spaza shops must go with immediate effect.

Vaal updates| Saul Tsotetsi, Sebokeng Zone 14|
Township Economy Dialogue.

The meeting was conducted by the Parliamentary Constituency Office (PCO), inviting all stakeholders in Sebokeng and surrounding areas on a dialogue on the 18th September 2024 at 14H00 at the Saul Tsotetsi Sports Complex on Monday afternoon.

This particular speaker made few yet very interesting and important points regarding immigration policies. This should educate those who didn't know what immigration policies and by-laws of this country entails. Let's take a listen into the video feedback.

Most people who believed that foreign spaza shop owners would correct themselves since the president's national address speech have had their hopes shattered as more similar incidents are occurring.

Despite the government's intervention in the food poisoning saga, some people still find expired food item after buying from foreign-owned spaza shops.

Some citizens agreed to have the spaza shops boycotted, and no one should buy from these shops.
