Miniature Art Society of South Africa A non-profit organisation, which promotes all matters pertaining to miniature fine art, through exhibitions, workshops and demonstrations.

Our society, MASSA, is based on the 2 main societies in the United States... the Miniature Art Society of Florida, and the Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers Society, based in Washington DC. When the World Federation of Miniaturists was formed in London in 1995, we became one of its founder members, and have sent selected work to each subsequent World exhibition, in Hobart Tasmania, Washing

ton DC, again in Tasmania, and this year in Moscow, Russia. The last World exhibition was hosted by South Africa in Hyde Park, Johannesburg in February 2016, with all time record sales!

Join us for a Miniature Watercolour Workshop with Monique Lindsay, where we’ll slow things down and explore the quiet, intricate world of tiny paintings. Think fine brushes, steady hands, and those satisfying moments when a few millimetres hold an entire story.

Limited spots available, so it will be an intimate, focused session with plenty of guidance along the way.

All pre-drawn watercolour templates and reference images will be provided, so you can simply arrive and immerse yourself in the process.

What to bring:
• Cloth / roller towel
• Jar for water
• Brushes: 3/0, 5/0, 10/0, 0, 2/4 round (eradicator optional)
• Watercolour paints & palette
• Clutch pencil (0.35 / 0.5 with B refill)
• Kneadable eraser
• Painter’s tape (optional)
• Masonite board or block (optional)
