Heads up, NPO community!

From today, 31 October 2024, the Department of Social Development (DSD) will begin removing inactive NPOs from the register, targeting organisations registered from 1998 to 2012 with overdue reporting. This effort is all about boosting the credibility of the NPO Register and meeting international standards.

If retaining your NPO status is important, now’s the time to double-check your registration and make sure all reports are current. For full steps and guidance, download the document here:https://admin.nascee.org.za/media-library/npo-dereg-to-share.pdf/@/file/NPO%20dereg%20to%20share.pdf

Let’s keep our community compliant and ready for the future!

Reading aloud has been shown to help children and carers improve their spelling by hearing proper word enunciation. Celebrate World Read Aloud Day by reading a book to a child (the more, the merrier) as an endeavour to address the significant inequalities in literacy throughout the world.
