Bus shade handover

We are pleased to confirm the successful completion and handover of the bus shade structure to the Department of Health: JTG District. This infrastructure forms part of broader efforts to support the Integrated School Health Programme, enabling the bus to operate efficiently while delivering health related services to learners across the John Taolo Gaetsewe District Municipality.

The parking port was constructed to provide a secure and designated parking facility for the bus, and we anticipate that the bus will be able to serve more learners during the academic year, contributing to improved access to education and related services.

We would like to extend our appreciation to McDonald Plantation and Civil Works for the construction of the bus shade, as well as the Kagiso Health Centre, where the bus is stationed. We remain committed to supporting infrastructure interventions that respond to practical community needs and deliver measurable impact.

Supporting interactive learning in the foundation and intermediate phases:
Kgolo Trust recently handed over tablets to Ikemeleng Primary School to support Grade 4-6 learners in their Mathematics classroom. The tablets will be used to make Maths lessons more interactive and engaging, particularly in a multi‑grade classroom environment led by Ms Khambule. Having access to digital devices enables learners to better engage with learning material, while also supporting differentiated teaching approaches across multiple grades.
This initiative forms part of our broader commitment to strengthening numeracy skills and igniting a love for Mathematics at an early stage, helping learners build confidence and interest in the subject from the foundational years.
We are proud to support practical interventions that enhance teaching and learning experiences in the classroom.

Today, we proudly celebrate and honour Nomfundo Mqadi as she concludes her term as a Trustee of the Kgolo Community Development Trust (KCDT). Since joining the Trust in 2016, she has been an anchor of wisdom, integrity and purpose - playing a defining role in shaping KCDT into the organisation it is today.
Over the years, she has been instrumental in strengthening the Trust’s governance, programme design and long-term vision. Her guidance helped steer KCDT through key milestones, ensuring that our work remains deeply rooted in community needs while maintaining accountability and excellence.
In 2023, she took on an additional role as Chairperson of the Social Investment Projects and Programmes Committee, where her leadership helped refine and elevate our social impact priorities. Under her chairmanship, the committee’s work became more focused, more measurable and more responsive to the realities on the ground.
One of her most significant contributions has been her influence on the Trust’s strategic direction, particularly the development and advocacy of our “golden thread” strategy. She has consistently championed the importance of having a unified, values-driven strategic approach that ties all our programmes together and ensures sustained, meaningful impact across the John Taolo Gaetsewe (JTG) District.
As she steps down, we acknowledge with deep appreciation the legacy she leaves behind: a stronger Trust, a clearer strategy and a lasting commitment to the people we serve.
Thank you, Mam’Nomfundo, for your unwavering dedication, visionary leadership and the golden thread you have helped weave through every part of our work.
We wish you continued success in all that lies ahead.
