This is a first for us!

We've received an appeal for a racing wheelchair.

This person prefers to remain anonymous on our social media platforms. He is a wheelchair basketball player/coach who wants to participate in the Comrades Marathon in about two years time. He participated in the 42k Soweto Marathon in 2024 in his basketball chair, and wants to use road racing to raise funds for various organizations, including his basketball team.

We realise that this is a big ask, but we're hoping that someone has a connection, who has a connection and we can make this dream a reality 🩷🙏

🎉 Shoe Drive Update! 🎉

We’re thrilled to share that another 13 pairs of size 8 shoes have been collected! 🙌 Size 8 shoes are in high demand, and every donation brings us one step closer to collecting 150 pairs of shoes to make difference in our community. 👟

📢 Join the 40 Items in 40 Days Charity Challenge for Lent!

For each of the 40 days of Lent, remove one item from your closet or kitchen that you no longer need and place it in a black bag. At the end of Lent, donate these items to Cross the Divide so we can share them with individuals in need.

How to participate:

👕 Pick 1 item from your closet each day. OR Pick 1 item from your kitchen e.g. unused working appliances, pots or pans.
🛍 Store them in a black bag for 40 days.
📦 Donate your items to Cross the Divide – we’ll distribute them to those in need.
📌 Size 8 shoes, men’s clothing and working small appliances are in high demand!

🌿✨We’re excited to announce our partnership with Bubele Africa and the Craigpark Residents Association (CRA) to restore our rivers and neighbourhoods while creating meaningful jobs! 💙

Thanks to this clean community collaboration, four displaced and homeless individuals from the Cross the Divide Food Drive have joined the Bubele Africa team, helping to clean our local areas each week.

But we want to do more—and we need your help!
