Guardian Angel Scout Group – Weekly Report

👫Total Attendance: 150 Guardian Angel Scouts

1. Session Focus 🌞

The session focused on Leadership and Teamwork through the Patrol System.

2. Activities Covered 👫
2.1 Patrol System Training

Scouts learned how patrols function as teams. The duties and responsibilities of the Patrol Leader and Assistant Patrol Leader were explained and practiced.

2.2 Scout Jargon & Procedures 🌈

Scouts were taught what is expected when a Troop Scouter gives commands. The following commands were practiced:

Fall In
Scout at Ease
Scout Alert
Scout Dismissed

2.3 Revision of Scout Basics📝

Patrol Leaders led their patrols in revising the following core Scout principles:

Scout Law
Scout Promise
Scout Sign
Scout Handshake
Scout Motto

2.4 Welfare🏡

All Scouts received a snack and a refreshing drink at the end of the session.

3. Outcomes 🌍
3.1 Leadership & Teamwork

Scouts gained a better understanding of teamwork and leadership roles within a patrol.

3.2 Patrol Leadership👑

Patrol Leaders took responsibility for guiding their patrols and revising core Scout principles.

3.3 Discipline & Commands🥸

Scouts demonstrated improved discipline and responsiveness to Scout commands.

On Friday, 14 August, our GAWMT Scouts came together for registration, training and group organisation - another exciting step in building a strong and committed generation of young conservationists. 🌍🦁

78 Scouts attended this particular programme, joining a much larger and rapidly growing GAWMT Scout movement.

Seeing our Scouts come together, learn, connect and prepare to take action for wildlife and the environment is a powerful reminder that the future of conservation is in good hands. 💚

The numbers are growing. The commitment is growing. And the movement is growing.
