nsible parties being the property owners of Alexandra, the tenants within the yards of the property owners and the East African community owning tuck shops in the area
The purpose of this report is to outline the various issues that transpire during the Mushrooming of stores as discovered by Eastern African Community Givers International Foundation of South Africa (EACG International). IMPLEMENTATION
The aim of the foundation (among other things) is to make the community aware of the situation that is happening within Alexandra Township because it is something that is also happening all over the Townships of South Africa. EACG International strongly acknowledges the rights of property owners in Alexandra and that is why they want to work hand in hand with property owners in trying to control the Mushrooming of stores. As the foundation that took notice of the problem and went as far as to acquire and register the number of store in and around Alexandra (380 stores in counting) we want to bring it to the attention of these non-nationals that they are at a risk of having their stores closed down or demolished because they may have built them in the wrong location and paying rent to the wrong person who is not a property owner of that particular yard. Therefore we advise that they consult the foundation before embarking on choosing a location to build a new store, because the foundation will ensure that it consults the Alexandra Property Owners.
