We celebrated the opening and handover of the Mpathy Clinic in KwaMhlushwa, bringing together the community, Department of Health, healthcare professionals and stakeholders who share a commitment to making quality healthcare more accessible.

For three years, this clinic has continued to serve the community, supported by the resilience of the people of KwaMhlushwa and the dedication of Professional Nurse Sifiso Mawela.

We wrapped up the school term by bringing together our ECDE Directors for a practical learning session focused on strengthening their journey as education entrepreneurs.

As part of the Rhiza Mombasa Side Hustle Program, the session covered investment readiness, KRA eTIMS compliance with CPA Benson Ojango, and the introduction of the Rhiza Hustle Performance Tracker—a digital tool designed to help schools monitor finances, measure performance, and make informed business decisions.

By combining investment, compliance, and data-driven management, we're equipping school leaders to build stronger, more sustainable enterprises.

In Bujumbura,30+ growth stage Entrepreneurs under the SAS-P funded Burundi Accelerator Program continue to expand their businesses at the Rhiza Semerera Livelihoods Hub,a centre for catalytic youth empowerment.

With 50% drawn from the farming sector, Rhiza Semerera is supporting them to grow their income through capacity building,investments,coaching and peer support, ultimately impacting 300+ individuals.

This past Tuesday in Rwanda, Francisca Muema and Therese NIYIGENA met with the Bibungo Health Post partner, a dedicated nursepreneur collaborating with Rhiza Ventures to strengthen community driven healthcare and entrepreneurship initiatives.

The team also onboarded a group of inspiring ECD side hustlers from ECD Rusenyi, ECD Ubumwe, New Kid ECD, Life Bridge ECD (Kigali City Province), and EDD ECD (Northern Province). During an engaging Business Model Canvas session, participants explored how to transform their ideas into sustainable business opportunities while gaining practical skills to support long term growth.

By investing in entrepreneurship and innovation, we are helping build stronger enterprises, healthier communities, and lasting social and economic impact. Together, we are empowering local changemakers to create a more sustainable future.
