A special milestone for the Mlolongo community.

On the 5th of October 2026, we celebrated the official launch of the new maternity facility at Kentap Medical Centre Limited.

Through the Mpathy model, Rhiza Ventures supported the establishment of the maternity space, helping make maternity services available to patients and families in the community.

The facility is already making a difference, with two deliveries supported so far.

We are grateful to the Kentap Medical Centre team and all the community and healthcare partners who helped bring this facility to life.

Here’s to bringing essential care closer to the people who need it.

Today, we celebrate the official launch of the new maternity facility at Kentap Medical Centre Limited in Mlolongo, Kenya.

Through the Mpathy model, Rhiza Ventures supported Kentap Medical Centre with the resources needed to establish a maternity space and make these much-needed services available to the community.

The facility has already supported two deliveries, marking an important step towards bringing maternity care closer to the families who need it.

The launch brings together healthcare stakeholders, community leaders, local administration, churches and other partners who have contributed to making this milestone possible.

We are proud to support solutions that strengthen local healthcare services and help communities access the care they need, closer to home.

Meet Mbali Nyakolo, our HR Officer.

For Mbali, operational excellence starts long before a new employee performs their first task, creating a seamless, welcoming, and organised onboarding experience which sets the tone for their whole journey at Rhiza, so they feel informed, supported, and confident from day one. And empowerment begins with clarity and trust: we don't just introduce policies and procedures during onboarding but help new employees understand how their role contributes to Rhiza's broader purpose, so accountability becomes a natural outcome of feeling valued rather than something we simply tell people about.

And as Rhiza grows through regional hubs, my role is to make sure that while onboarding adapts to local contexts, our core values and behaviours stay the same, embedding ETHOS principles into every stage of the employee lifecycle so accountability and excellence look consistent everywhere.

Ultimately, I'd tell every new employee that operational excellence is about people, about consistently doing the right thing, taking ownership, and supporting others to succeed, because when everyone brings that mindset to their work, it becomes part of the culture rather than just a business objective.

Another mobile clinic launched. Another community reached.

Today, in partnership with the Department of Health, we launched a mobile clinic in Bojanala District, North West, bringing quality primary healthcare closer to the people who need it most.

Every clinic helps break down barriers to healthcare access and strengthens healthier communities.
