Today, on International Day of the Girl Child, we honour every girl who goes to bed hungry, who walks kilometres for water instead of sitting in a classroom, and who still dares to dream.

🍲 Food: 1 in 5 people in Africa goes hungry, and a hungry girl cannot learn.
💧 Water: In 7 out of 10 homes without water, it’s women and girls who fetch it, losing precious hours of school.
📚 Education: 133 million girls worldwide are still out of school.

Food fuels her body. Water protects her health. Education unlocks her future. She needs all three.

In Malawi, more than 16 million people still don't have safe water at home. One well changes that for an entire village. 💧

In Malawi, AMA has reached 3300 villages, bringing clean water closer to villages that once walked for hours to find it.

21 September is International Day of Peace. The UN's theme this year is Invest in Peace: for everyone, everywhere, every day — a reminder that peace is built by everyday people doing everyday things.

At AMA, we see it plainly: peace is a well that means no more long walks for water. Peace is a full plate at iftar. Peace is a classroom safe enough to be named Aman. Peace is a woman who can provide for her children. Peace is a family who has a roof again after crisis takes everything.
