"Itβs been a while since we posted on the work we are doing.
One of our focuses has been planting seeds of mindfulness in our communities.
For the past six years, our foundation has extended its offering to mindfulness programmes to adults and young people in underserved communities. While these spaces are often challenged by limited resources, environmental distractions, and safety concerns, they are also places of remarkable resilience, strength, and potential.
Our most recent programme was offered to a group of teenagers from β¨, an organisation we have had the privilege of working alongside since 2020. Through this ongoing partnership, we have witnessed the value of creating safe and supportive spaces where young people can pause, reflect, and connect with themselves and others.
By the middle of the programme, a greater sense of grounding and ease had begun to emerge. Participants shared how mindfulness was helping them manage school pressures, improve communication and relationships, and navigate everyday challenges with greater awareness and balance.
Moments like these remind us why this work is so important. Mindfulness offers practical tools for wellbeing and resilience, particularly in communities facing ongoing challenges. We are deeply grateful to for their continued partnership and for the opportunity to support the growth and wellbeing of the young people they serve." by Didi & Friends https://www.didiandfriends.co.za/
