FAMILY OPPOSES BAIL AFTER MEADOWLANDS WOMAN ALLEGEDLY KILLED BY EX-BOYFRIEND

The family of Boitumelo Lebotse, who was brutally murdered in Meadowlands Zone 1 over the weekend, says it will oppose any bail application by the suspect.

According to information provided, the 27-year-old Lebotse was at a local tavern with friends and a sibling when her alleged ex-boyfriend arrived. It is alleged that the suspect later pretended to leave the tavern.

The suspect is further alleged to have hidden nearby and waited for Lebotse and her friends as they made their way home on Saturday morning. Reports indicate that he confronted the deceased, assaulted her and stabbed her before fleeing the scene.

An ambulance was called, and Lebotse was rushed to Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital in Diepkloof, where she was declared dead on arrival.

Prior to the incident, it is alleged that the suspect had vandalised property at the deceased’s home and was later handed over to police by his father.

The suspect is currently in custody and appeared at the Orlando Magistrate’s Court on Monday, facing a murder charge among others. The case was postponed to 23 December 2025.

The deceased’s aunt, Julia Tlhoaele, says the family is shattered by the incident and is demanding justice for Lebotse, who is survived by her four-year-old child.-

JMPD Director of By-law enforcement noticed a young woman drinking on the streets of Mayfair. Instead of reacting harshly, he compassionately sat beside her and gently counselled her about the dangers of the path she might be heading down. He encouraged her to change her ways, reminding her that she still has a promising future and that she deserves a better life. At just 21, she seemed to have lost hope in herself, but Fortein gave her renewed hope and gently assured her that she matters.

Rest in Power, Princess 💔

Amé Mia Green, 8, was shot and killed by her father in Amberfield, Centurion, on 22 November 2025.

It is alleged that Amé was killed after her father refused to adhere to the court order of split custody. Her father, Warren Green, allegedly took his own life after murdering his daughter.

We are heartbroken by the loss of yet another beautiful soul. When is enough, enough?
