Good Morning All, In attempt to raising funds to travel to Portugal, Nichelle and I are hosting a Barnyard Fundraiser at Silverstar on the 20 March 2019. We are hoping to sell as many tickets as possible as this money will go towards our flights, accommodation, our SA tracksuits and entry fees. So please feel free to share with friends and family.

If you are interested in a ticket or few, please message either one of us in a personal message or contact us directly.

In addition to the barnyard we have a raffle going on, for a Photo-shoot and a Stretch Canvas print out donated by Trompie van der Berg Photography and SignEdge Studio. If you are purchasing barnyard tickets a raffle ticket will be R80 per entry and if you are unable to attend the barnyard tickets will be R100 per entry.

This is the testimony of Martin van Wyk.

When I went to B.R.C in 2018 I knew I needed 2 things; God and help for my problems I was running away from for so long. I never thought I would encounter God the way I have. When I got to B.R.C, I kicked against everything that they were trying to do. I didn’t want the help that they were offering. Even though I knew I needed God I even kicked against that. I thought I was perfect and that my only problem was drugs. I do everything to the fullest and I even went as far as to challenge God. Two weeks before God broke me, I had a conversation with Chris in the workshop and I even told him that no one will ever break me in life not even God. Well I just had no idea what I was doing. I challenged God and He accepted and then it happened to me. I left B.R.C on the 20th of July 2018 after 3 months because I thought I knew best and I met with God along the road.

God gave me a choice that day, life or death, and as I heard God tell me that this is enough I have to make a choice, being hit onto the ground flat on my face by what had happened and I made a choice. I went back to BRC and started my journey of recovery. I decided to follow Jesus and that was by far the best choice I ever made. God changed my life completely. I learned to love myself and others, I learned that by trusting God He will sort out all my problems. He was the answer I was searching for all this time. Now God says, “come to me all who are heavy burdened and I will give you rest”. God will never fail anyone and as the prodigal son, God waited for me to return to Him and He welcomed me with open arms to love and care for me.

I know my God is a God of healing and mercy and abounding in grace. My God is my all in all. My God is the redeemer of my soul. My God is the God of the ages. I am nothing without my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. My God has never failed me in anything even though He had no reason to help me but God has a plan for me and that is to spread the good news about grace and how much He loves us. This is just some parts of what happened to me. Hope you can see that God really changes lives and it could happen to whoever open their heart.
