Feeling eco-anxiety or eco-grief? You’re not alone. 🌿

Creative by Nature, in collaboration with Lefika La Phodiso, is introducing Exploring Eco Anxiety through the Elemental and Creative — Module A — a five-part online programme designed to support people through reflection, creativity, and reconnection with the natural world.

This warm, grounded, and non-clinical experience offers a space to:
- acknowledge eco-anxiety as a valid response
- explore climate emotions through creative practice
- reconnect with nature’s wisdom, power, and possibility
- move from isolation toward connection, meaning, and gentle action.

Accessible online and open to participants from anywhere, this programme invites a healing-centred, community-based response to the emotional realities of environmental change.

Eco-anxiety deserves care, creativity, and community 🌿✨

Join us for a gentle online journey of reflection and exploration.

Starts 25 July 2026 | 9:30–11:00 am

🐶 Therapy Dogs Visit 🐾

This week, our Animal Explorers participants had the opportunity to spend time with some very special visitors from Top Dog.

Through interacting with the therapy dogs, children explored themes of trust, empathy, emotional awareness, kindness, and connection. The session provided a safe and engaging space for participants to build confidence, practise respectful interaction, and experience the calming and supportive presence that animals can bring.

The smiles, laughter, and meaningful moments shared throughout the session reminded us of the powerful role that human-animal connections can play in supporting children’s social and emotional wellbeing.

A heartfelt thank you to the Top Dog team and their wonderful therapy dogs for making this experience so memorable.

Guess what landed back at Lefika this week? Our 14–18 year olds’ bowls! 🥣

Made in Term 1 from terracotta clay, guided by Melville Mudroom. Every bowl is unique because every story is. Marks of patience, creativity and pride.😊

Following a group game using watercolour, the 14-18 year olds spent Monday afternoon exploring relationships and relational dynamics within their Monday group to finalise their group contract. The second session of Term 2 focused on watercolour as a way to explore connection, exploring how colours meet, blend, and shift alongside one another, as they do within the group itself.

The 14-18 year old group kicked off Term 2 by making dolls. The dolls, created and named by the participants, then shared what they wanted in their group contract. All the dolls were made using recycled textiles that the participants selected themselves as each doll carries its own story and is shaped by memory and imagination.
