At Wisdom Calls Day-Care, pre-school and House of safety, we receive, take care of, provide cooked-wholesome meals to the children, and educate the children on daily bases, in a safe and loving environment, that is conducive for learning, growth and development. This include
s stimulation for early learning, including motor, emotional, and cognitive development; literacy; and numeracy. Even though we cater for all our surrounding areas, the majority of the children we have at our facility, come from Zandspruit informal settlement, and from families with very little or no income at all. In addition to not being able to afford education, the majority of the children living in Zandspruit, live in serious poverty, they play on open drainage, on hips and piles of litter and rubbish, and sometimes on blocked sewages on daily bases. These hazardous living conditions leave the children exposed to diseases, harm and sometimes death. This is the reason why Wisdom Calls ECD has been positioned in this area, to bring much needed intervention. OUR FOUNDING VALUES
Founded in Christians values and birthed from a deepest love and passion for taking care of vulnerable young lives, who are not in any position to protect, educate, feed, or defend themselves, Wisdom Calls believes that we are all created in God’s image, and that every human life is very precious and absolutely, priceless. At Wisdom Calls we also believe that every person was created with a purpose, and that, this purpose needs to be realised from birth; needs to be groomed, developed, and nurtured through early childhood.
