Yesterday was a huge success 💪
World Environment Day with Asivikelane + Social Employment Fund + teams = mission accomplished 🙌

Kameeldrift and Phomolong informal settlements showed up for clean-up campaigns. Phomolong went further with an organic composting launch 🌱

Big shoutout to the Phomolong, Kameeldrift and teams for tackling massive dumpsites. No TLB? No problem. They worked 💪 and cleared it anyway.

At Phomolong, we wrapped the day with the composting launch. What a day!

Through the Asivikelane campaign, Planact and the International Budget Partnership South Africa co-hosted the State Secretary of Switzerland, Alexandre Fasel and his delegation at Rabie Ridge (K60 A&B informal settlements) just outside Tembisa.

The visit was about showcasing how the Asivikelane campaign connects community monitoring with engagement between the residents and City of Joburg on water and sanitation, in particular with Johannesburg Water.
