STET Bursary Opportunity for Black South African Women in STEM

Are you a Black South African woman between 18 and 35 years old, pursuing undergraduate studies in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) at UNISA in Education ?The Support Teacher Empowerment Trust (STET) bursary is here to support you!

Eligibility Criteria:

- Black South African woman
- Age: 18-35 years old
- Undergraduate student at UNISA
- Studying in a STEM field

Required Documents:

- Certified copy of valid Matric certificate
- Certified copy of valid Matric results
- Certified copy of latest academic transcript
- Certified copy of valid South African ID
- Motivational letter

Application Process:

Apply online through the STET website or submit a hardcopy application with all required documents. Ensure your application is complete and accurate to avoid disqualification.

Check the STET website for the application www.stet.co.za
Closing date: 05 January 2026

This school is situated in the Township of Ivory Park,A dedicated teacher Mrs Zitha took it upon herself to mentor these children in the Eskom expo with the assistance of STET via the laptop donations to the school for the leaners to use for their projects ,as a result they have been invited to participate on regional level on the 1st of August 2025,congratulations to them

Another proud project of STET is Big Data wich focuses on teaching the youth essential tools in the Data Analytics space such as Python, Power BI, SQL, Excel, and Azure Cloud, preparing participants for careers in data analysis and business intelligence.

The program emphasizes practical, hands-on experience in understanding and working with data, making it ideal for those interested pursuing careers in fields like data science, analytics, or digital transformation.

Additionally, it includes training in soft skills and job readiness to ensure participants are fully prepared to enter the workforce.
