WEConnect International is continually engaging with multinational corporates who are looking for women-owned businesses to contract for good as services.
One of our corporates is looking to appoint a fleet management company with an administrative approach that allows the corporate to organize and coordinate work vehicles with the aim to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and provide compliance with government regulations. This function also include tracking systems which will be used to monitor driver behaviour, proper vehicle use for corporate business, safety, etc.
Please be advised that they are looking for a BBBEE and female owned Fleet Management company and the below is a brief description of the service requirement.

Good morning ladies. I trust you are all well and that the initial panic is starting to settle. I know that I have been quiet stressed out for these past months. But I am finally coming around and starting (I hope) to focus strategically on the things that I need to change, where to pivot and where to let things just be and accept.

Have you heard of the "Queen Bee Syndrome"?
The term was first defined in 1973 and refers to women in leadership positions that deliberately overlook other women for advancement opportunities in the workplace.

A study is being conducted by Dr. Aradhana Ramnund-Mansingh and it has received wide coverage on 702, Mail & Guardian, SABC and other media platforms.

Part of the study delves into the impact of the Queen Bee Syndrome within an entrepreneurial context in South Africa. Have you pitched your business to a corporate organization but have a suspicion that the contract was not awarded to you because the decision maker was a woman - one who might have felt that you were unqualified because of your gender or because she might have not wanted another female to encroach on her territory?

It's a fascinating concept and if you would like to contribute to the study, you are invited to share your experiences in confidence with Dr. Ramnund-Mansingh.
