We conducted a number of Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) in the Western Cape Province last week at different branches.

We believe in creating space for conversations around mental health, wellbeing and gambling-related harm in the workplace.

By strengthening awareness and encouraging early help-seeking, we can build healthier workplaces where employees feel supported and know where to turn for help. Because workplace wellbeing matters.

Behind every statistic, there is a person. Behind every number, there is a story.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we are reminded that mental health is an essential part of the conversation around gambling harm. Its impact extends beyond the individual, affecting families, relationships, and communities.

Our mission goes beyond addressing gambling harm. It is about recognising the person behind it, prioritising their well-being, protecting their dignity, and supporting their journey towards recovery without judgement or stigma. Because no one should be defined by their struggles or reduced to a statistic. You are more than a number. Your story matters. Your mental health matters. You matter.

We are in the North West, attending a soccer tournament hosted by .

Ours is to address issues around underage and illegal gambling amongst minors and gambling related harm that may be affecting them in their communities. We want to help young people understand the risks attached to gambling related harm and make informed choices.

Together, we can protect our youth and promote safer communities.

We executed TRW Tertiary Edition at The University of Mpumalanga (Siyabuswa Campus) as part of their Mental Health Awareness initiative.

This was a fruitful engagement with the students as we highlighted the importance of taking care of one's mental health and got an opportunity to address some of the external influences that affect one's mental health such as gambling addiction and the effects that it may have on a student's academic performance and overall wellness.
