IANRA: The International Alliance on Natural Resources in Africa is a continental network of 29 non-governmental and community-based organisations, with 10 national networks in 10 countries in Africa and 1 in Europe. While campaigning for sustainable and socially just natural resources management, IANRA additionally seeks to link and thereby strengthen African and Northern (European initially) res

earch, advocacy and campaigning. In its first phase, 2009-2010, IANRA focused on ensuring that its members (and their additional partners at the national level) became better enabled to participate in and contribute to national, regional and international advocacy and campaigning efforts around the use of the vast natural (and thereby economic) resources available on the continent. The IANRA network consists of 24 organizations from 8 different African countries and 1 European country (Netherlands), all striving for justice concerning natural recourses.
