...Intouch team was honoured to exhibit, present, and share our community development, social justice, and environmental justice work at the impactful Ask Karabo Roadshow hosted by the Centre for Environmental Rights.

The launch of the Environmental Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Guide and the Environmental Crimes Guide is a powerful milestone in equipping communities with practical knowledge to protect their environmental rights and hold polluters accountable. As Intouch, we firmly believe that environmental justice, climate justice, and social justice are interconnected. Through our presentation, we highlighted our ongoing efforts in community empowerment, environmental awareness, youth engagement, and advocacy for a safer and healthier environment.

We commend the Ask Karabo initiative for creating accessible platforms that empower communities to become active custodians of their environment. Together, we can build informed, resilient, and environmentally conscious communities that protect both people and the planet for generations to come.

...Today we are gathered here to stand for justice, peace, and the protection of human life and the environment. This mass action sends a strong message that communities are tired of pollution, suffering, and companies putting profits before people.

The slogan “Glencore digging coal, digging graves” reminds us that coal mining and pollution continue to harm many communities through dirty air, damaged water, sickness, and poverty. We believe every person deserves a healthy and safe environment.

We are also standing in solidarity with the people of Palestine and all communities affected by violence and injustice. We call for peace, humanity, and accountability from powerful corporations and governments.

As young people and activists, we are using our voices to demand change. We want clean environments, responsible business practices, and a better future for the next generation.
