Christ The Word Life Church Stands with Women Against Femicide
Christ The Word Life Church is deeply shattered and grieved by the painful reports emerging from Ekurhuleni and the ongoing scourge of femicide that continues to wound our nation. As a church, as mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters, our hearts bleed. We cannot remain silent while our women and daughters live in fear in their own homes, streets, and communities.
Every woman is precious, created in the image of God, and worthy of honour, protection, and love. When one woman is violated, the whole nation bleeds. We have heard the cries of mothers burying their daughters, children left without mothers, and families traumatised by violence.
As CTW Life Church, we feel this pain deeply. Today we stand in solidarity with every woman who is afraid, every family that has lost a loved one to gender-based violence, and every community in Ekurhuleni and across South Africa that is crying out for justice and healing. You are not alone. We see you. We mourn with you. We are praying for you.
We are on our knees pleading for God's intervention over our country. Only God can heal a heart that hates, and only God can restore a nation that is broken. We are praying for divine protection over our women, for comfort over every bereaved family, and for a true turning in the hearts of men who continue to victimize in our land.
We declare the Word of God over our nation:
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." – Psalm 34:18
"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy." – Proverbs 31:8-9
"He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." – Micah 6:8
As CTW Life Church, we are praying for justice to prevail and for peace to return to our homes and communities. We are praying that every woman in this country will feel safe, protected, and valued again. We call upon God to heal our land and upon all people to choose compassion over violence.
We will not stop praying until our country knows peace. May the God of all comfort wipe every tear and may His justice and righteousness reign over our land.
