π¦ Own Your Bank: Building Wealth Together! πΏπ¦
Hello Ithemba Labantu community! We have some incredibly exciting news to share that could change the way we think about money and build generational wealth.
It is official: Ithemba Labantu Hope Network is now the official common bond for the Roots Financial Services Cooperative (Roots FSC)! This is a massive step toward creating our very own community bankβone that is owned and controlled by you.
π‘ What is Roots FSC?
Roots FSC is a cooperative financial institution. Unlike a typical bank, the people who use the services are the owners. We are currently in Phase 1 (Pre-registration), which means you have the chance to get in on the ground floor as a founding member.
π Why Join?
This isn't just about banking; itβs about the power of us.
* True Democracy: Every shareholder gets one vote, regardless of how many shares they own.
* Dividend Earnings: Your commitment shares turn into real dividend-sharing shares once we are fully registered.
* Collective Power: By banking together, we can turn small regular contributions into millions of Rands to fund businesses, create jobs, and keep wealth within our community.
π How to Become a Founding Member
Joining is as easy as one-two:
* Join the Common Bond: You must be a member of the Ithemba Labantu Hope Network.
* Seniors & Students: R50 (one-time fee)
* All Other Members: R200 (one-time fee)
* Purchase Your Shares: Secure your founder's ticket!
* Start with just R500 for 10 shares, or buy more if youβd like.
π― Our Goal
We are looking for 200 founding members to raise R100,000 in capital. This will allow us to meet the requirements of the Prudential Authority and the Reserve Bank to unlock our borrowing license. Once we hit this target, you can make deposits and take out loans from your own bank!
Are you ready to own your bank? This invitation is open to everyoneβfamilies, teachers, taxi groups, churches, sports teams, and non-profits.
Donβt wait! Claim your stake in our community's future today.
