RE: *SAFTU Gauteng Provincial ShopStewards Meeting - 27 August 2026*
This is a call to all Gauteng-based shopstewards of SAFTU trade union affiliates to attend the upcoming SAFTU Gauteng Provincial Shopstewards Meeting. As workers and trade unions, we must end fighting capitalist in isolation and fragmented.
We must practically get ourselves organised and build workers solidarity to fight back hence *each Trade union will be accorded 15 minutes to present workplace struggles and challenges faced by workers as stated on item 6 of the proposed agenda.*
*The Trade Union report should cover and provide 1) Employer/Workplace Name, 2) Nature of the Dispute, 3) The difference between the workers demands and the employer offer, 4) The Strategic Pressure Points Available, 6) The Possibility of a Secondary Strike Action 7) Status of the Dispute 8) What Role Workers, Communities and Working Allies could play in exerting Pressure.* This should be a one pager report and please produce enough copies for distribution at the provincial meeting.
