Gauteng Children's Rights Committee GCRC is an acronym for “Gauteng Children’s Rights Committee.” It is a Non-Governmental Organ The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

It is a Non-Governmental and Non-Profit making Organization established in 1999. Its main objective is to advocate for and promote the rights of children as laid down by the following legal and policy framework. Section 28 of the Bill of Rights in the SA Constitution. The African Charter for the Rights and welfare of the Child. GCRC

also creates an environment for children, which is conducive for their general development, survival, participation and protection. VISION

A healthy and child friendly Gauteng province wherein the rights of the child to protection, development, survival and participation are secured, upheld and promoted
