Round 3 of the SARDA Electric On Road Nationals will be held at Parow Radio Control Car Club on 12/13 September.

Normal entries close on 28 August, thereafter late entry will apply.

What a cracker of a raceday🏁🔥

The 21.5T Challenge was fast and furious… and then the enduro happened 😎

There was a lot of buzz around the electronics and the formula for the new Euro Trucks going into the event.

Turned out to be SPOT ON! We had ZERO DNF’s.. and all motors intact… even the brushed ones😉

Team Radio Active from Bloemfontein took the TQ after the Superpole qualifying session, and started the race from the front of the queue, but after 3 hours, Race Ventura walked away with top honours🏁

ENDURO TIME!!!!

Here is some (VERY) important info regarding the weekend🏁

Track will be CLOSED from Friday afternoon 13:00, to prepare. No driving allowed after this.

The track will be blown off again on Saturday morning, and track will be open for practice (21.5 and trucks) up until drivers briefing at 8:45.

Here’s the IMPORTANT part. In order for the Enduro to start on time, the 21.5T will run on the clock, similar to the GRC series. There will be TWO quallies(best 1 result to count), TWO Mains (best 1 result to count)

Quallies will START @ 9:00, and run according to the schedule below, whether your car is on the track or not. Please ensure you arrive early enough to set up and give yourself enough time to prepare. Late starters to start from pitlane.

Please note: These are the times that the buzzer will start the heats, you will need to be on track 2-3min before then. Heat listing will be shared on Friday, and is also posted on LiveTime.

Drivers from Heat 2 will marshall for Heat 1, and Vice Versa.

Q1 Heat 1 - 9:00, Heat 2 - 9:10

Q2 Heat 1 - 9:45, Heat 2 - 9:55

Mains Rd1 - A 10:45, B 10:55

Mains Rd2 - A 11:20, B 11:30

Thereafter we’ll go into Enduro mode.

*NB!!! Please leave Euro Truck motor covers open for pre-race inspection*

Gears and electronics will be marked, covers to be replaced at race tech, and will be marked once sealed.

We will have a quick drivers brief after this then head into qualifying.

Truck qualifying will be run as a ‘Superpole’ event, where teams will have 3 laps set their best lap, with the next team starting as soon as the previous returns to ‘the changeover box’.

Once all the teams have run, we will give a 10min break to top up batteries and do final prep while race control sets the grid.

After that, we press start, and battle it out for 3 hours. After the race, the top 3 trucks will return to inspection, for a post-race check.

We have a few spots left for 21.5 drivers wanting to enter, please send me names as soon as possible so I can update the entry list.

There will be some eats and drinks on sale at the track, and a card facility will be available.

Ideally we’d like to finish latest 16:00. Firstly to give the travelling guys enough time to travel safely, and also for everyone to get home(or Ellis Park just up the road) to watch the rugby🔥
