🚨 SCAM ALERT – PLEASE READ & STAY VIGILANT 🚨

We’ve had a recent incident involving a WhatsApp scam where someone pretended to urgently need a short-term loan and promised repayment “later today” or “tomorrow”. The conversation felt personal, involved multiple MESSAGES, urgency, and pressure to send money via Instant Money.

What to watch for
* Sudden “I need help now” messages
* Promises to repay later today or tomorrow
* Pressure or guilt
* Requests for eWallet, CashSend, Instant Money, vouchers, or cellphone payments
* Excuses like bank limits or WhatsApp issues

Before sending any money
* Call the person on a number you already know.
* Ask a question only they would know
* Do a quick video call
* Check with a mutual contact
* Never rush because of urgency

If something feels off and you cannot verify
* Don’t send money
* Stop engaging and block the number
* Warn the group
* Contact your bank immediately if money was sent

Slow down and verify first. Stay safe everyone.
