Garden Heroes Growing our future together. IT'S TIME FOR A FOOD REVOLUTION IN AFRICA! Garden Heroes is a comic to inspire and educate people to grow their own food.

The comic educates and equips small scale farmers and is based on sustainable agricultural principals that will show how to start their own vegetable garden and help them and their community become food secure. With the rapid increase in food prices and access to healthy fresh food becoming more and more difficult for people living on marginal incomes. Educating people and communities on how to be

come food secure and grow their own food not only lessens financial burdens but also creates jobs and leads to better diets and a healthier population. As the Urban gardener Ron Finley says “Growing your own food is like printing your own money”. The comic visually illustrates everything you need to know, from laying out your garden, how to plant, harvest and maintain your vegetables, what to grow when as well as some delicious recipes. The comic is also part of a much bigger project to help schools in communities to grow and sell their own vegetables.
