🌍🎉 WORLD PLAY DAY & INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PLAY 2026

The Letcee PlayABLE Project - our TLASA member organisation, through its Mobile Toy Library, partnered with Matimatolo Stationed Toy Library and Sekusile Creche in KwaZulu-Natal to celebrate both World Play Day and the International Day of Play.

A total of 55 children, including children with diverse abilities and additional support needs, participated alongside caregivers and Toy Librarians in a range of indigenous games, educational activities, and structured and unstructured play experiences.

The celebrations reinforced the importance of inclusion in play, demonstrating that every child, regardless of their abilities or support needs, has the right to play, learn, participate, and thrive. Through shared play experiences, children built friendships, developed new skills, and created joyful memories in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

🎉 Well done to our TLASA member, Afrika Tikkun Foundation (Wings of Life), for celebrating World Play Day with 280 children, supported by 1 Toy Librarian, 24 teachers, and 6 Inclusion Class Moms! 🌍
Guided by the theme "Peace, Inclusion and Freedom," children took the lead in a variety of child-led activities, expressing themselves through play, creativity, and meaningful participation. Their smiles, laughter, and enthusiasm showed the power of play in creating inclusive spaces where every child can thrive.
