The Makazole Mapimpi Foundation proudly presents the U14 Rugby Tournament, taking place at the Mdantsane NU1 Sports Grounds on 1–2 November from 09:00 to 16:00.

This exciting event will bring together junior rugby teams and schools from across the Border region in a thrilling competition. There will be awesome prizes to be won, so come and show your support for the next generation of rugby stars.

With the Makazole Mapimpi Foundation Rugby Festival successfully completed in Mdantsane, we now turn our attention to the next festival in KwaMaqoma (Fort Beaufort).

This Friday, the festival begins at Thubalethu High School in partnership with Bofolo Sports Club. Among the many exciting activities will be special girls’ rugby matches showcasing our commitment to inclusive rugby development.

On Saturday, we will hold the Coach the Coaches training program specifically targeting rugby coaches and administrators from KwaMaqoma. This training aims to strengthen local rugby leadership by certifying participants with World Rugby Level 1 accreditation helping to build a stronger future for the sport in the community.

Join us for the MMF 14–15 Rugby Festival

The Makazole Mapimpi Foundation is proud to host the MMF 14–15 Rugby Festival on Saturday, 02 August 2025, at the Mdantsane NU 1 Sports Ground.

Aspiring young players from nearby areas will come together for a full day of exciting youth rugby, where 30 exceptional players will be selected for the MMF Coaching and Mentorship Program.

Together, we celebrate young talent, community spirit and the power of sport to make a lasting impact.
